[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Mesh Korea (CEO Yoo Jung-beom), which operates the logistics brand 'Vroong,' announced on the 22nd that it has simultaneously obtained three international standard security certifications?'ISO/IEC 27001,' 'ISO/IEC 27017,' and 'ISO/IEC 27018'?from the global certification body DNV Business Assurance Korea.
The ISO-27001 certification, established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), is the most prestigious international standard certification in the field of information security. It requires passing strict information security management standards across 14 control domains and 114 items, including information security policies and physical security. The ISO-27017 and ISO-27018 certifications obtained together are for information security and personal data protection management systems in the cloud sector, through which Mesh Korea has objectively proven its information protection and management capabilities for cloud-based services.
Mesh Korea explained that the acquisition of these three international information security certifications was achieved through the internal dedicated information security team’s independent efforts without external information security consulting. To establish an internal information security management system, Mesh Korea created a security audit team, laying the essential foundation for more independent and objective security inspections. In line with the continuously expanding non-face-to-face delivery services since COVID-19, the company plans to continuously enhance its personal data protection and management capabilities.
Yoo Jung-beom, CEO of Mesh Korea, stated, "We will continue to thoroughly protect the personal information of customers using Mesh Korea and further strengthen our internal information security and management capabilities through regular employee training."
