Statistics Korea Launches 'Chatbot Service' on National Statistics Portal

[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Son Seon-hee] The National Statistical Portal (KOSIS) will launch the interactive artificial intelligence platform service 'Kobot (KOSIS chatbot)' starting from the 22nd.

According to the Statistics Korea on the day, Kobot is an AI system that allows users to ask and answer various statistics-related information in a conversational format, created to help the public easily access statistical information.

It explores data based on approximately 180,000 statistical tables and popular search terms on the National Statistical Portal to provide information. It also offers convenience features such as about 5,400 term explanations, an autocomplete function including indicator and trend line information, and a smart board that visualizes related indicators in an easy-to-understand way.

The Statistics Korea stated, "We will continue efforts to provide high-quality statistical services to users of the National Statistical Portal."
