GS25 has launched two types of premium steaks in line with the growing trend of grocery shopping at convenience stores.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] GS25 announced on the 22nd that it has launched two types of premium steaks in line with the growing trend of convenience store grocery shopping culture.
The Tomahawk steak is named after the tomahawk, a hand axe used by Native Americans in the past. It is a premium product that allows you to enjoy three different cuts?flower sirloin, rib meat, and chuck flap tail?attached to a long beef rib bone, weighing 360g in total.
The T-bone steak features a T-shaped beef vertebra bone with tender filet on one side and chewy sirloin on the other, allowing you to enjoy two of the best beef cuts. The T-bone steak weighs 540g, which is an appropriate portion for two people. The product comes pre-seasoned, so you only need to thaw and grill it easily.
GS25 is running a special 1+1 promotion on both products until the 30th. GS25 franchise owners have shown great interest, and the first batch of 12,000 units of direct imports was fully ordered within a day.
A GS Retail official said, “As the home cooking culture has expanded due to COVID-19, we have been able to offer products that meet the needs of the MZ generation who enjoy cooking themselves. We will also apply the fresh food management know-how accumulated through operating GS Supermarket to GS25 in various ways to create synergy effects.”
