Special Lecture Focused on Novelist Kim Jin-myung's Latest Works 'Jikji' and 'Virus X'


[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jung Soon-gyun) will hold an online book concert titled "Kim Jin-myung, Answering the Questions of the Era" at 7 p.m. on the 23rd, World Book Day, on the 3rd floor of Daechi 2 Cultural Center.


Kim Jin-myung, the author of popular novels such as "The Rose of Sharon Has Bloomed" and "Goguryeo," will give a lecture focusing on his latest works "Jikji" and "Virus X," discussing Korean identity, human history, and social phenomena.


The event will be hosted by Jegal In-cheol, Korea's first book musician, and will feature a performance by singer Jo Da-bin.


The event will be broadcast live on the Gangnam-gu Library YouTube channel, and anyone can freely ask questions or share opinions in real-time comments.

Since 2019, Gangnam-gu has been hosting a variety of "Monthly Humanities with Themes" events featuring lectures, performances, and discussions by inviting authors such as Kim Young-ha, architect Yoo Hyun-joon, and professor Lee Guk-jong.


This year, book concerts are scheduled to be held until November with participants including Lee Si-hyung and Park Sang-mi (June), Oh Eun-young (July), Tyler Rasch (August), Lim Hong-taek (September), Chae Sa-jang (October), and Kim Jung-hyuk (November).
