[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Seoul city announced that the number of new COVID-19 confirmed cases in Seoul from midnight to 9 PM on the 21st, a 21-hour period, was tentatively counted at 226.

Compared to the same time frame, this is 16 more than the previous day (20th) with 210 cases, and 18 more than last Wednesday (14th) with 208 cases. The total number of new confirmed cases for the entire day was 218 on the 20th and 217 on the 14th.

The daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul had mostly stayed in the 100s since February 17, but surged to 244 on the 7th of this month. Except for the four days over the weekend and early week when the number of tests decreased, the daily cases remained in the 200s for ten consecutive days until the 20th.
