The fire insurance for self-owned households of basic livelihood security recipients is a policy project by Uljin-gun that has been providing insurance since 2013 to households of basic livelihood security recipients who find it difficult to recover on their own due to fire. In the event of a fire, coverage is provided for buildings and household goods.
According to Uljin-gun, so far, seven households of basic livelihood security recipients who suffered fire damage through insurance enrollment have received compensation of 92 million won, laying the foundation for stable living.
Jeon Chan-geol, Governor of Uljin-gun, stated, "Enrollment in fire insurance for basic livelihood security recipients serves as a reliable measure for vulnerable groups," and added, "We will continue to do our best to establish a safety net against disasters in the future."
