[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Forest healing services will be provided to 800 naval personnel, including submarine crew members, through an outreach program.

The National Forest Healing Center under the Korea Forest Welfare Institute announced on the 21st that it will conduct a total of 20 outreach forest healing programs for naval personnel until the end of July.

The program is designed to allow naval personnel, who have difficulty traveling due to COVID-19, to receive forest healing services at their units.

The main programs include "Hammock Experience" to enhance physical vitality, "Forest Picnic" to help psychological stability, and "Elastic Exercise," which strengthens physical strength through stretching using the elasticity of resistance bands.

Additionally, the program will support forest healing activities that can be applied in daily life by providing self-healing kits containing small tools, video content, vitamin D for immune enhancement, companion plants, and aroma diffusers.

Kim Jong-yeon, Director of the National Forest Healing Center, said, "I hope that naval submarine crew members and civilian employees, who mainly stay at sea, can relieve physical fatigue and reduce tension in the forest," adding, "The Forest Healing Center will continue to provide various forest welfare services, including outreach forest healing, so that all citizens can benefit from forest healing."
