Nexen Tire to Supply 'N'Fera AU7 AI' as Original Equipment Tire for Kia K8

Application of AI Big Data Technology... Significant Improvement in Noise Performance and Quietness

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Nexen Tire announced on the 21st that it will supply its 'N'Fera AU7 AI' as original equipment tires for Kia's new car, the K8. The N'Fera AU7 AI is a product that significantly reduces tire noise using artificial intelligence (AI) big data technology.

The N'Fera AU7 AI is the first Nexen Tire product to have the 'AI Technology' marking on the sidewall, and it greatly improves noise performance and quietness compared to previous products. It also offers high braking performance and ride comfort on both wet and dry roads.

Previously, Nexen Tire conducted industry-academic joint research on noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) big data with Hyundai Motor Company, Kia, and Inha University to establish a noise reduction prediction system. Through this, Nexen Tire developed the country's first new tire pattern using AI technology based on big data results of driving noise according to tire pattern shape and noise design factors.

Meanwhile, Nexen Tire plans to apply AI big data technology not only to autonomous driving but also to premium original equipment (OE) and replacement (RE) tires through continuous research and development investment.
