Lotte Department Store will hold an exhibition of Marvel's 'Avengers Station' at Gimpo Airport branch for nine months starting from the 29th.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Department Store announced on the 21st that it will hold an exhibition of Marvel's "Avengers Station" at the Gimpo Airport branch for nine months starting from the 29th. The Avengers have a strong fandom in Korea, having recorded the highest box office among foreign films in Korean history with the movie "Avengers: Endgame."
Avengers Station is a large-scale exhibition covering 2,190㎡ (663 pyeong), designed as an edutainment exhibition incorporating STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) methods with NASA as an advisory partner. Unlike exhibitions that are only for viewing, it features various interactive contents allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves as Avengers Station agents to enjoy and learn.
This exhibition features nine stations where visitors can experience large-scale figures of heroes such as Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Black Panther, showcasing their costumes from the movies, as well as original sets, costumes, and equipment of the heroes.
For visitor safety and smooth quarantine management, online advance reservations will be available only through Naver and Interpark for the time being, with on-site ticketing to be considered later depending on the trend of new COVID-19 cases. The number of visitors per session will be limited, and strict adherence to COVID-19 prevention measures such as temperature checks and QR code check-ins will be enforced. Disinfection of the experience facilities will also be conducted regularly.
Before the exhibition opens, early bird tickets with a 15% discount will be sold until the 28th. Additionally, on the 22nd, VIP tickets will be sold with a limited edition Avengers Station poster book, limited to 1,000 copies.
A Lotte Department Store official stated, "We will strictly comply with COVID-19 prevention measures to ensure customers can safely enjoy the exhibition," and added, "We plan to continue attracting interactive exhibitions using globally popular content to provide customers with diverse experiences."
