Available for Free via Nikon Online Download Center Starting the 26th
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Nikon announced on the 20th that it will release the latest firmware for all Z series mirrorless cameras and provide it to general consumers starting from the 26th.
The latest firmware version for the Z7 II/Z6 II is 1.20, which improves AF (autofocus) performance in low-light environments and enhances tracking frames and subject tracking AF functions. Additionally, detection performance in scenes where it was difficult to detect faces and eyes has improved, as well as the ability to recognize subjects in the viewfinder or LCD monitor, increasing AF usability when using a speedlight. The tracking frames and subject tracking AF used for face and eye detection have also been enhanced, supporting more comfortable and stable shooting.
The 3.30 version firmware for the Z6 adds a voice memo recording and playback function, allowing users to briefly record shooting situations. This feature will also be added to the Z6 II through a firmware update. The 1.10 firmware for the Z5 increases detection speed during low-light AF mode shooting. Furthermore, applying the latest firmware for the Z7, Z6, Z5, and Z 50 activates the focus position memory function, which remembers the last used focus position even when the camera is powered off.
The new firmware will be available for free download from the Nikon Online Download Center starting on the 26th.
