[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The gesture opening the second act of life is tempting(?). Dongseo University has prepared a project to support the beautiful second act of life for the elderly in Busan.
The Dongseo University LINC+ Project Group, Kaience Co., Ltd., and I.A.LAB have joined hands to carry out this project.
Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) LINC+ Project Group recently announced on the 20th that it signed a business agreement for the joint planning and operation of the senior care "Evergreen Project" with Kaience Co., Ltd. (CEO Jang Jin-woong) and I.A.LAB (CEO Oh Se-jun) at the New Millennium Hall Global Room.
This is an attempt to build an innovative model in the senior care field by recognizing the issues of poverty and loneliness among the elderly and combining the infrastructure of a culture and arts specialized university with the technological capabilities of a human care ICT company.
The Evergreen Project focuses on the "happy life of the elderly." It is a project that supports the elderly in discovering their own value, transforming their lives, and overcoming health and poverty issues.
Unlike existing elderly welfare limited to medical services, it also aims to improve the abilities of the elderly and generate income. Systematic and diverse programs are operated for this purpose.
The participating organizations will jointly carry out ▲ operation of culture and arts academies and agencies ▲ provision of ICT-based healthcare services ▲ development of smart agriculture services and innovative welfare platforms.
Kaience Co., Ltd. is a healthcare small and medium enterprise that researches, develops, and provides commercial services for child and elderly care platforms.
It has achieved recognition by introducing child and elderly risk prevention and AI-based respiratory care services, winning the Edison Award Gold Prize in the Human Care category.
I.A.LAB is a convergent culture and arts content development company founded by Dongseo University Musical Department Professor Oh Se-jun (director, actor, writer) as a faculty startup company.
In addition to developing performance, film, broadcasting, culture, and arts content, it plans to provide cutting-edge VR and AR technologies.
Dongseo University LINC+ Project Group Director Cho Dae-soo said, "In the current era approaching super-aged society, I hope the Evergreen Project will be a starting point to solve the population aging problem, a difficult issue in national welfare policy," and added, "Through our program, we will continuously cooperate with related organizations so that the elderly can splendidly unfold the twilight of their lives as 'actors.'"
The Evergreen Project started at the request of Gijang County and was selected for the 2021 Busan City Community Win-Win Cooperation Support Project by the Busan Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Institute, and is scheduled to operate until 2022.
