2300-Person Drug Supplier Arrested at a Seoul Hotel... Sent to Prosecution

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] The police have arrested and sent to prosecution a drug supplier who sold and distributed various drugs such as methamphetamine and marijuana in quantities sufficient for over 2,300 people to use simultaneously in South Korea.

According to the police on the 20th, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul sent Im Mo, who acted as a manager-level supplier in a drug organization and sold and distributed drugs such as methamphetamine in the Seoul area, to prosecution on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

Im was arrested by the police last month at a hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. At the time of arrest, he was reportedly in possession of methamphetamine sufficient for about 2,300 people to use, a large amount of marijuana, and GHB, a new type of drug known as "mulppong".

Based on the investigation of Im, the police are focusing their efforts on identifying distributors and buyers who received the drugs.
