T map Taxi Transforms into 'UTi' by Partnering with Uber

[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] T map Taxi will be rebranded as a taxi brand called 'UTi (UT)'.

SK Telecom's subsidiary T map Mobility and Uber's joint venture UTi Limited announced on the 19th that the T map Taxi app will be revamped as UTi.

UTi is a name derived from the first letters of Uber and T map respectively. The company explained that it carries the meaning of 'Our Taxi'.

A UTi official said, "It embodies the philosophy of providing a service that promotes mutual growth among drivers, passengers, and the local community."

UTi also unveiled a new logo and social network services (SNS) on the same day.
