Concurrent Recruitment Briefing and On-site Interviews to Hire Over 100 Logistics Employees
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City, Gyeongnam, conducted job interviews for Coupang Jinhae Logistics Center on the 19th at the Jinhae District Office main conference room.
The Coupang Jinhae Logistics Center, set to open on May 10, held a combined recruitment briefing and on-site interviews for about 100 logistics staff.
The city strictly adhered to quarantine rules by inviting only those who passed prior document screening and designating a separate entrance to the interview venue to prevent COVID-19.
Attendees received explanations from Coupang officials about job responsibilities, working conditions, and recruitment overview.
There was also a Q&A session for inquiries. Afterwards, on-site interviewers conducted immediate job interviews.
Coupang plans to invest 298.6 billion KRW in the Dudong District of Jinhae-gu to open a smart logistics center with a total floor area of 48,000 pyeong and employ up to 3,200 people by next year.
In this regard, the city signed a 'Changwon Citizens Priority Hiring Agreement' with Coupang on the 15th.
Coupang pledged to strive for employment stability, improvement of working conditions, and prevention of industrial accidents for workers, while the city promised to provide necessary administrative support to enable Coupang to prioritize hiring Changwon citizens.
Yu Jaejun, Director of Job Creation Division of Changwon City, said, "I understand that citizens have high expectations for the Coupang Jinhae Logistics Center recruitment plan," adding, "The city will provide various administrative conveniences necessary for prioritizing the hiring of Changwon citizens."
