[Photo] Oh Seung-rok, Nowon District Mayor, Attends Groundbreaking Ceremony for Suraksan Sports Town

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 17th at 2 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for Suraksan Sports Town held at the planned construction site in Sangye 5-dong, lot 125.

Suraksan Sports Town, which began construction this February, is planned to be developed on a 35,566㎡ site in Sangye-dong, lot 125, with a total project cost of 44 billion KRW. The facility will include one soccer field, one baseball field, three tennis courts, and leisure green spaces.

It is also preparing to receive Barrier-Free (BF) certification to accommodate people with disabilities, the elderly, and pregnant women, with completion expected in the first half of next year.

The event proceeded in the order of the mayor's greeting, guest congratulatory speeches, groundbreaking ceremony, and commemorative photo session.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, stated, “Suraksan Sports Town will be developed as an open space for all district residents,” adding, “We will ensure the project proceeds smoothly until completion so that all residents can use the facilities without inconvenience.”
