[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] It is Do-yeop Moon's (30, DB Insurance) chance to win.

On the 17th, at Oak Valley Golf Club in Wonju, Gangwon Province, Oak and Maple Courses (par 72, 7,147 yards), the third day of the KPGA Korean Tour 2021 season opener, the DB Insurance Pro-Am Open (total prize money 700 million KRW), Do-yeop Moon shot 3-under par to take the top spot on the leaderboard (10-under par 206). Min-cheol Choi (33, Woosung Construction) is in 2nd place (9-under par 207), and 2019 Player of the Year Kyung-jun Moon (39, NH Nonghyup Bank) is in 3rd place (8-under par 208), pursuing closely behind.

Do-yeop Moon started from a tie for 2nd place, 4 strokes behind, and recorded 5 birdies and 2 bogeys. After losing strokes with bogeys on holes 10 and 12 following birdies on holes 1 and 4, he struggled to reduce his score but energized himself with a birdie on hole 13 and consecutive birdies on holes 15 and 16. He debuted on the Korean Tour in 2013 and won his first title at the 2018 KPGA Championship. He maintained his tour card by finishing 33rd in prize money last season and signed a sponsorship contract with DB Insurance in 2019. Leading by 1 stroke, he is aiming for his second career win.

Min-cheol Choi reduced his score by 2 strokes and is eyeing a come-from-behind victory. 'The youngest champion in Korea Tour history,' Joo-hyung Kim (19, CJ Logistics), shot 3-under par to rise to 4th place, 3 strokes behind (7-under par 209). On the other hand, Jeong-woo Ham (27, Hana Financial Group), who was the leader the previous day, struggled with 7-over par and dropped to a tie for 7th place (4-under par 212). Tae-hee Lee (37, OK Savings Bank) is tied for 17th place (1-under par 215), and last year's Player of the Year and money leader Tae-hoon Kim (36, Webcash Group) is tied for 26th place (1-over par 217).
