[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dongmyung University has gathered young enterprises to participate in the platform ‘Univ.Mall,’ which supports marketing for youth businesses and small merchants.


The university’s Social Customized Industry-Academia Cooperation Leading University (LINC+) Development Project Group (Director Shin Dong-seok) announced on the 17th that on the 13th, they held a participation agreement ceremony for ‘Univ.Mall’ with 13 young enterprises at the performance hall on the 3rd floor of the Busan Nam-gu Youth Creative Development Center.


The agreement was attended by about 20 people including Dongmyung University LINC+ Director Shin Dong-seok, Park Soo-young, Head of the Regional Community Cooperation Center, Kim Sang-gil, Director of Busan Nam-gu Youth Creative Development Center, Mi-hee Seol, CEO of Young Vision Co., Ltd., Ki-seop Kim, CEO of E-Changer Co., Ltd., Seung-jun Hyun of DMT, Seung-hwa Kim, CEO of Studio Inyo, So-jung Woo of Wooddot, Si-on Song, CEO of Rootka Busan, Yong-wan Jo of Strong Ad, Bo-young Yoon, CEO of Chaconne Co., Ltd., Seok-hwa Jo of Bochet, Bora Kim of Custom Factory, Ji-eun Lee of Bright Solution, Jeong-ju Lee, CEO of Geumgang GLS Co., Ltd., and Jun-geun Park of Duron.


On that day, the agenda included ▲ introduction of Univ.Mall, a marketing support platform built for small merchants and young enterprises ▲ introduction of resident companies at Busan Nam-gu Youth Creative Development Center and presentation of main products ▲ signing of participation agreements for Univ.Mall companies ▲ and a roundtable meeting for support and revitalization of small merchants and young enterprises.


The Dongmyung University LINC+ Project Group and the 13 young enterprises will participate in the cloud-based marketing support platform ‘Univ.Mall’ and carry out activities such as ▲ guidance and consultation for startup clubs ▲ sharing human and material infrastructure to revitalize the social economy in the Busan area ▲ and human and material exchanges for creating local youth jobs through field training and internships.


Univ.Mall was established in December last year through collaboration between LINC+ universities and non-LINC+ universities across regions to revitalize the local economy.


It is a marketing platform jointly built by nine universities to support small merchants and young enterprises struggling due to COVID-19.


Participating universities include Dongmyung University, Konkuk University, Paichai University, Wonkwang University, Jeonbuk National University, Jeju Tourism University, Halla University, Hanseo University, and Howon University.


Shin Dong-seok, Director of Dongmyung University LINC+ Project Group, said, “Although we are facing many difficulties due to COVID-19, we plan to succeed with Univ.Mall, which was built to support marketing, and aim to revitalize the economy.”


Since December 2017, Dongmyung University has been operating the ‘Nam-gu Youth Creative Development Center’ in cooperation with the Busan Nam-gu Future Growth Officer’s Office (Manager Han Kwang-young) Youth Policy Team, implementing various programs such as employment and startup support projects to create youth jobs.
