[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Ssangyong Motor announced on the 16th that it will halt operations at its Pyeongtaek plant from the 19th to the 23rd due to disruptions in procuring production parts caused by suppliers' refusal to deliver.
The scheduled date to resume production is the 26th. The court had previously decided to commence rehabilitation proceedings for Ssangyong Motor the day before.
Due to the shortage of automotive semiconductors, Ssangyong Motor also suspended production at the Pyeongtaek plant from the 8th to the 16th.
