Free Vaccination for Approximately 32,800 Seniors Aged 75 and Over and Daycare Center Residents

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Park Jun-hee, the mayor of Gwanak-gu, visited the COVID-19 vaccination center located at Gwanak-gu Community Sports Center (37 Nakseongdae-ro 3-gil) around 9 a.m. on the 15th to check the status of indoor and outdoor facilities and preparations before the center's operation, and encouraged the medical staff and employees.


Starting from this day, the district will provide free vaccinations to approximately 32,800 elderly people aged 75 or older born before December 31, 1946, and residents of daycare centers.


The vaccination began sequentially starting at 10 a.m. with the first vaccination for elderly residents (born in 1945) of the Gwanak Daycare Center.


The vaccine used is Pfizer, and individual vaccination dates will be notified separately by the local community service centers.

Mayor Park Jun-hee said, “We are making thorough preparations to ensure that residents can receive vaccinations safely and quickly, and we are doing our best for the recovery of daily life,” adding, “We ask for the active participation and cooperation of all residents to ensure smooth vaccination.”
