Jangseong-gun Begins Distribution of Disaster Relief Funds for Agriculture Sector

[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, has begun distributing disaster relief funds for the agricultural sector included in the government's 4th round of disaster relief payments.

According to the county on the 14th, this disaster relief fund is divided into the 'Temporary Management Support Voucher' for small-scale farms and the 'COVID-19 Overcome Farming Support Voucher' for farms affected by COVID-19.

The 'Temporary Management Support Voucher' targets farmers who received the small-scale farm direct payment last year and whose farms were registered as agricultural management entities as of the announcement date (April 1).

A total of 3,208 farms in Jangseong qualify for this.

Applications can be submitted by visiting the Nonghyup branch in the farmland area or through the Nonghyup Card website by the 30th, and if selected, points worth 300,000 KRW will be loaded onto a Nonghyup credit or debit card.

However, applicants should not forget that the points must be used within 90 days from the date of issuance.

The 'COVID-19 Overcome Farming Support Voucher' targets farms whose sales decreased compared to the previous year, including ▲flower farms ▲winter watermelon farms ▲eco-friendly production farms supplying school meals ▲horse breeding farms ▲and rural experience and recreation villages.

Applications must be submitted by the 30th to the Agricultural Technology Center or through the COVID-19 Overcome Farming Support Voucher website, along with supporting documents such as shipment performance certificates and bank deposit statements proving the sales decline.

Once confirmed as eligible, 1,000,000 KRW will be provided per farm via a Nonghyup prepaid card, which can be used until September 30.

A county official stated, “We will strive to promote this so that no eligible farms are omitted,” and added, “We will do our best to support farmers facing management difficulties due to COVID-19.”
