[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Lee Jeong-hoon, the mayor of Gangdong-gu, received the AstraZeneca vaccine at the Gangdong-gu Public Health Center around 10 a.m. on the 14th.

This vaccination was conducted to enhance the credibility of the vaccination program and encourage residents' participation through the involvement of local government heads, who serve as disaster safety countermeasure headquarters chiefs, in accordance with the guidelines of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's Vaccination Response Promotion Team.

Starting from the 15th, Gangdong-gu will begin vaccinating seniors aged 75 and older at the vaccination center established in the Gangdong-gu Residents' Hall. On the 5th, a simulation drill covering the entire vaccination process was conducted at the vaccination center, and from the 7th, a vaccination call center has been fully operational, ensuring thorough preparation for the vaccination process.

Lee Jeong-hoon, mayor of Gangdong-gu, stated, "The Gangdong-gu COVID-19 vaccination center will open on the 15th, and we expect the vaccination process to accelerate. We will do our best to ensure that all residents safely complete their vaccinations and can return to their normal daily lives."
