[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] The 'Chamba Bridge' built over Osancheon in Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi Province has opened.
The 'Chamba Bridge' was a long-awaited project by the residents of Munhyeong 2-ri, as the existing nearby Sewolgyo Bridge was frequently flooded during heavy rains, causing significant inconvenience to residents' vehicle traffic and pedestrian movement.
The city demolished the existing Sewolgyo Bridge and invested about 2 billion KRW in provincial funds to construct a new bridge measuring 58.4 meters in length and 10 meters in width in the adjacent area. Construction began in June last year, and the 'Chamba Bridge' was completed on the 13th.
