Sharing Major Achievements of Year 1, Discussing Year 2 Plans by Institution, and Conducting Status Checks
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The AI Small and Medium Venture Manufacturing Platform project, aimed at supporting the adoption of artificial intelligence by small and medium manufacturing enterprises, has launched its second year of implementation.
The Smart Manufacturing Innovation Promotion Group (KOSMO) held the "Kickoff Meeting for the Advancement of the AI Small and Medium Venture Manufacturing Platform" on the morning of the 14th at its headquarters in Daejeon.
Attendees included officials from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Promotion Group, the Korea AI Manufacturing Initiative (KAMP.AI) established last December, NHN, the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), the Small and Medium Business Technology Innovation Association, and other related organizations. The meeting shared the key achievements of the first year of the "AI Small and Medium Venture Manufacturing Platform (KAMP)" and discussed and reviewed the second-year implementation plans and current status by organization.
KAMP is a private cloud-based manufacturing AI specialized platform that supports small and medium manufacturing companies from data collection and analysis to AI solution development, and it opened last December. Currently, KAMP provides high-performance computing resources such as GPUs through its portal (www.kamp-ai.kr), along with 12 types of manufacturing datasets by core equipment focused on the root and food sectors.
Additionally, it enhances understanding of the manufacturing AI field by offering data analysis experiences, video lectures for analysis education, and excellent case studies of manufacturing companies that have adopted AI solutions.
Starting from the second year, KAMP will actively build a "Solution Store." This will allow manufacturing companies to compare and purchase AI solutions from various suppliers in one place, thereby expanding the adoption of artificial intelligence in manufacturing. At the same time, user convenience will be enhanced through the advancement of the service portal by adding 10 specialized datasets for precision processes, analysis algorithms, and educational videos.
Park Han-gu, head of the Promotion Group, stated, "We will continuously discover and promote excellent cases of small and medium manufacturing companies that have successfully adopted artificial intelligence, and through the advancement of KAMP, we will achieve innovation in small and medium manufacturing companies through AI."
