[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] BMW Korea announced on the 14th that it will conduct a promotion offering benefits to customers who purchase plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models.
BMW Korea explained that this promotion was prepared so that many customers can purchase BMW PHEV vehicles at reasonable prices.
First, for PHEV sedans, customers who purchase the 3, 5, or 7 Series can use a smart installment program with an interest rate of 1.99%, or when purchasing the 5 or 7 Series, they can use a smart lease program that supports part of the monthly payment.
For example, the 530e Luxury Line (81.4 million KRW) can be purchased through the smart installment plan for 650,000 KRW per month (36 months with 30% down payment). Using the smart lease, customers can receive up to 2.5 million KRW monthly payment support for 5 months and operate the vehicle at 820,000 KRW per month (36 months with 30% down payment).
All customers purchasing BMW PHEV models are provided with an 8-year/200,000 km battery warranty, and customers who purchase plug-in hybrid sedan models receive 8 years of electric charging fees. Additionally, when purchasing through the smart installment or smart lease programs, customers can receive fuel vouchers worth a total of 800,000 KRW.
Purchase benefits also apply to BMW’s representative Sports Activity Vehicles (SAV), the X3 and X5 plug-in hybrid models. For the New X5 xDrive45e M Sport Package (121.72 million KRW), monthly payments of 910,000 KRW (36 months, 30% down payment) are required, and the used car value is guaranteed up to 64% after 3 years.
By using this promotion, BMW guarantees the used car value during the contract period, allowing customers to purchase PHEV vehicles with low monthly payments. After the 36-month contract ends, customers can choose to return the vehicle or pay the residual value amount to own it, according to their preference.
