[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Honam University Confucius Academy announced on the 14th that it will jointly host the "4th Jeollado Millennium Chinese Speaking Contest" with Gochangbuk High School Confucius Classroom.
Under the theme "Talking about China," those who wish to participate in this contest can refer to the Honam University Confucius Academy website and Gochangbuk High School website to submit the preliminary application form, presentation manuscript (one copy each in Chinese and Korean), and presentation video file via email by the 7th of next month.
The preliminary screening results will be individually notified on the 14th of next month, and the finals will be held on June 5th at the International Hall of Gochangbuk High School.
Eligible participants are middle and high school students with South Korean nationality who have stayed in Chinese-speaking countries for less than one year. Those who won the gold prize or higher in this contest last year or use manuscripts that have won awards in other contests are not allowed to participate.
Awards will be given to winners in the middle and high school divisions, including the Grand Prize (Jeollabuk-do Superintendent of Education Award), Gold Prize (Consul General of China in Gwangju Award), Silver Prize (Gochang Office of Education Superintendent Award), and Bronze Prize (Director of Honam University Confucius Academy Award). Winners will receive prize money and commemorative gifts.
