Held Online from the 28th to 30th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Viva Republica, the operator of the mobile financial service ‘Toss,’ is hosting the developer conference ‘SLASH 21.’
SLASH 21, the first developer conference held since the company’s founding, is organized to share the technological innovation experiences of the financial platform Toss and will be held online from the 28th to the 30th.
The event name ‘SLASH’ carries a double meaning: the ‘/’ symbol used before commands in development and the Korean word for ‘to draw a line.’ It signifies breaking conventions and drawing a line of technological innovation to bring change to the lives of 19 million users. The conference slogan, ‘No technology without users,’ reflects Toss’s core value of customer satisfaction.
At this conference, more than 20 developers from Toss as well as affiliated companies such as the tentative Toss Bank (Toss Innovation Preparation Corporation) and Toss Payments will share know-how on how they have made over 40 Toss services and services operated by each affiliate stable and efficient.
The conference will cover not only the technical challenges Toss has overcome as it grew from a simple remittance service to a comprehensive mobile financial platform but also the development culture of the Toss team. Technology Head Hyungseok Lee will deliver the opening keynote on the story of Toss’s technological innovation developed for users.
On the first day, sessions will focus on common development topics such as platform, software development-related DevOps, and servers. The second day will feature sessions related to data platforms and internal tools like Slack, and the final day will cover frontend and client-related sessions.
The event will be held online with no participant limit. Session videos can be viewed on the SLASH 2021 website or the Toss YouTube channel, with daily session videos released at 7 p.m. from the 28th to the 30th.
Head Hyungseok Lee said, “I wanted to share the specialness of Toss developers finding new paths beyond existing methods to solve problems. I ask for your great interest in this first event sharing the user-centered technological innovation of the Toss team.”
