Applications accepted until the 30th, submit at the local eup/myeon office
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 13th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will implement a voucher program for forestry workers facing business difficulties due to the impact of COVID-19.
This forestry worker voucher program is divided into the 'COVID-19 Overcome Forest Support Voucher' and the 'Temporary Small-scale Forestry Household Business Support Voucher,' and applications can be submitted by visiting the local eup/myeon office with identification and supporting documents by the 30th of this month.
The COVID-19 Overcome Forest Support Voucher is a project that provides 1 million KRW to forestry households experiencing business difficulties such as sales restrictions and revenue decline.
The target is business owners producing items whose sales have decreased due to COVID-19 (mushrooms, wild vegetables, medicinal herbs). However, they must be registered as agricultural business entities with the Korea Forest Service as of December 31, 2020.
The Temporary Small-scale Forestry Household Business Support Voucher provides 300,000 KRW and targets farm business owners residing in rural areas who cultivate short-term income forest products on forest land less than 0.5 hectares.
Once finalized as beneficiaries, they can receive prepaid recharge cards through NongHyup starting from the 17th of next month, and if not used by August 31, the voucher balance will be reclaimed.
A county official said, “This disaster relief fund conducted by the Korea Forest Service will be provided according to priority within a limited budget, so we hope applicants apply as soon as possible to receive the benefits.”
