[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon Cultural Foundation (Chairman Heo Seok) announced on the 13th that it will publicly recruit cultural arts supporters who will deliver various cultural and artistic news of Suncheon and discover new cultural and artistic content until the 23rd.
The foundation plans to recruit 10 members for the ‘SC Cultural Arts Reporters’ who will deliver cultural and artistic news, and 5 members for the ‘Media Content Creators’ who will plan and produce cultural and artistic content.
The SC Cultural Arts Reporters will monitor the sites of cultural and artistic events held by the Suncheon Cultural Foundation and Suncheon City, and cover news related to the city’s cultural and artistic activities. The Media Content Creators will hold a monthly planning meeting to create, shoot, and edit video content on selected themes and carry out promotional activities.
Any citizen aged 19 or older residing in Suncheon is eligible to participate, and the selected Suncheon cultural arts supporters will begin their full activities after an inauguration ceremony on the 30th.
The foundation aims to improve the quality of the outputs through capacity-building education such as theoretical and practical training on article writing for the supporters, and plans to award the Mayor of Suncheon’s commendation and prize money to outstanding supporters at the end of the year.
Additionally, a modest activity allowance will be provided based on the activities, and excellent outputs will be published in the Suncheon cultural arts ‘SC Magazine.’
Citizens wishing to participate in this recruitment can download the application form along with their activity plan from the Suncheon Cultural Foundation website or blog, or the Suncheon City Hall website, and submit it via email to the Suncheon Cultural Foundation by the 23rd.
A representative of the Suncheon Cultural Foundation said, “We expect that the cultural arts supporters’ activities will increase citizens’ interest in the city’s cultural and artistic events and provide opportunities for voluntary participation. We will develop the supporters’ activities into a program that goes beyond simple promotion to independently discover new content and further establish a foundation for them to grow as local cultural activists.”
Meanwhile, last year, the Suncheon Cultural Foundation conducted the first term of the cultural arts supporters SC Creators activities targeting 14 youths and 24 middle-aged and older adults, and published a collection of the best content as an activity report.
