Official Statement Announcement to Minimize Citizen Inconvenience

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju Metropolitan City District Mayors' Council (hereinafter referred to as the District Mayors' Council) has released a public statement regarding the 'lunch break closure system' at the civil service offices of the five autonomous districts and the Dong Administrative Welfare Centers, which will be fully implemented starting May 1.

On the 13th, the District Mayors' Council stated in a press release, "We agree with the overall trend of the lunch break closure system and have been continuously discussing the implementation timing with the labor union," adding, "We currently judge that preparations to minimize citizen inconvenience have not been sufficiently made."

Furthermore, the District Mayors' Council added, "Considering that implementation on May 1 is realistically difficult, we will consult with the labor union on the implementation timing along with preparations to minimize citizen inconvenience."
