[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] SBI Savings Bank announced on the 13th that it has signed the 'Happy Two Meals Project' agreement with Daegu Seo-gu Office.

The signing ceremony took place on the 9th at Daegu Seo-gu Office. Attendees included Ryu Hanguk, head of Daegu Seo-gu Office, Lee Juhan, vice chairman of Seo-gu Council, and Lee Dong-il, head of SBI Savings Bank Daegu branch.

This project is a social contribution initiative aimed at addressing the issue of children at risk of food insecurity in the region. Companies, local communities, and local governments cooperate to ensure that children at risk of food insecurity receive at least two meals a day. Through this agreement, 100 children at risk of food insecurity in the area will be identified and delivered lunchboxes.

The project will run for eight months starting in May. Afterwards, it will be incorporated into the Daegu Seo-gu system or linked with meal support programs for operation.

An SBI Savings Bank official emphasized, "We are pleased to help improve the living environment of marginalized children through this project," adding, "We will strive to create an environment where marginalized children can grow up safely and healthily by expanding the support targets and scale."
