[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] As of 1:30 PM on the 12th, Gyeongsangnam-do announced that 7 new confirmed cases occurred since 5 PM the previous day.

By region, there are 4 cases in Jinju, 2 in Gimhae, and 1 in Hapcheon.

Among the confirmed cases in Jinju, 3 tested positive after contact with confirmed cases within the province and were classified as numbers 3147 to 3149.

The remaining 1 person felt symptoms on their own, got tested, and was confirmed positive, classified as number 3150. The infection route is under investigation.

Among the confirmed cases in Gimhae, 1 is related to the Gimhae Elderly Daycare Center and was classified as number 3144. This brings the cumulative confirmed cases related to the Gimhae Elderly Daycare Center to 22.

Health authorities conducted tests on a total of 106 people related to the Gimhae Elderly Daycare Center, with 22 positive and 84 negative results.

The remaining 1 person was a contact of a confirmed case from another region, who developed symptoms during quarantine, was tested, and confirmed positive, classified as number 3145.

The 1 confirmed case in Hapcheon tested positive after contact with a confirmed case within the province and was classified as number 3145.

Accordingly, the total cumulative confirmed cases in the province increased to 3,147 (214 hospitalized, 2,919 discharged, 14 deceased).
