[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance announced on the 12th that it operates the platform 'MOVE,' which allows agents to learn anytime and anywhere using PCs or mobile devices.
They explained that this is an attempt to shift the education paradigm as group-based training became difficult due to COVID-19 and digitalization accelerated.
They provide content such as product knowledge, sales skills, and complete sales in various formats including text, videos, and quizzes. The video content provided on the learning platform is produced to be around 10 minutes long to enhance learners' concentration and practical application.
Points are awarded for learning activities to encourage active participation by enabling badge acquisition and ranking checks with peers. They also operate a Learning Creator system. Sales branch managers and sales support staff directly produce highly practical content.
Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance expects that the introduction of the learning platform will enhance agents' expertise. They explained that strengthening agents' capabilities will lead to a proper sales culture and help protect financial consumers.
Kwon Jong-cheol, head of the Sales Education Team at Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, said, "Based on systematic support for agent education, we produced 6,551 excellent certified agents last year, the largest number in the industry," adding, "We plan to take the lead in protecting financial consumers along with shifting the education paradigm suitable for the post-COVID-19 era."
