[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Seoyoung] Former Minister of SMEs and Startups Park Young-sun urged the party and its members for support and unity.

On the 10th, Park began her Facebook post by saying, "My heart hurts deeply." She continued, "That is why I offer a sincere prayer," and "We all worked hard. Everything is because I was lacking." This appears to be her reflection on the results of the April 7 by-elections.

Park said, "After a defeat, various stories may arise. Opinions may differ," but added, "The most important thing before us is to prevent mutual blame." She left a prayer-like message, "Let us embrace differing opinions and become a magnanimous Democratic Party."

Additionally, Park asked for support, saying, "If there is something wrong, blame Park Young-sun, and please unite until the magnolias bloom next year." The phrase "until the magnolias bloom next year" is interpreted as referring to the 20th presidential election scheduled for March next year.

She appealed to her supporters for unity, saying, "Let us not lose faith and trust in each other," and "Let us all strive so that sincerity can triumph over falsehood and the regime can be reestablished."
