The Long-Awaited 'Bathhouse' in Our Neighborhood... Groundbreaking for Ulsan 'Seosaeng Bokji Bathhouse'

KHNP to Gift Landmark Bathhouse with 'Gori Unit 1 Continued Operation Win-Win Cooperation Support Fund'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A long-awaited public bathhouse is being established in Jinha-ri, Seosaeng-myeon, Ulju-gun, Ulsan. It is a facility that residents have eagerly anticipated for a long time.

There has been no public bathhouse in this area until now. Although it is currently closed, the public bathhouse that residents wished for is being provided as a gift through the coexistence cooperation support fund created during the continued operation of the former ‘Gori Unit 1’.

The construction project of the ‘Seosaeng Welfare Bathhouse’ officially broke ground on the 9th and has entered full-scale construction.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the ‘Seosaeng Welfare Bathhouse’ held at the site in Jinha-ri, Seosaeng-myeon, Ulju-gun, was hosted by the Seosaeng-myeon Residents’ Council (Chairman Jeong I-seok). Attendees included Lee Seon-ho, Ulju County Governor, Seo Hwi-woong, Ulsan City Council member, Lee Sang-min, Head of Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters, as well as local government and council officials, and heads of institutions and social organizations in Seosaeng-myeon, who all applauded the ceremony.

The Seosaeng Welfare Bathhouse, built with 6 billion KRW from the coexistence cooperation support fund for the continued operation of Gori Unit 1, will be a building with one basement floor and three above-ground floors (total floor area 1,718㎡). It will include a rest restaurant, bathhouse, and fitness center, and is scheduled for completion on March 31, 2022.

Once completed, the bathhouse is expected to set relatively low admission fees to support residents’ welfare.
