Gwangju City Council Holds Policy Lecture to Communicate with the Youth Generation

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Youth Development Special Committee of the Gwangju Metropolitan Council (Chairman Choi Young-hwan) held a special lecture on the 8th, inviting Kim Jong-hyun, Director of the Jeju The Bigger Tomorrow Center, under the theme of "Strengthening Creative Talent Development for the Youth Generation" together with Gwangju Metropolitan City.

This special lecture was organized to review local policy projects aimed at overcoming the COVID-19 crisis and creating jobs for youth, and to establish policies that resonate with young people by sharing excellent cases from other cities and provinces.

During the lecture, Director Kim Jong-hyun shared cases centered on Jeju Island's youth policy project, "Matching Desired Companies and Desired Talents," which provides career exploration, customized professional education and job experience, and career development opportunities for unemployed youth in Jeju.

He emphasized, "Youth policies that prevent the outflow of young population from the region and lead regional innovation must be bold, and we must respond to crises and opportunities by fostering young people who create regional value, such as forming innovative local communities."

Meanwhile, the video of this special lecture is scheduled to be uploaded on Aribada, Gwangju City's knowledge-sharing platform.
