[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suhwan] Israel reportedly carried out an airstrike near Damascus, the capital of Syria, resulting in four injuries.

On the 8th, Syria's state media SANA cited military sources reporting this. The media stated, "Before the missiles reached their targets, the Syrian air defense system shot down most of the missiles."

According to the report, the missile attacks were mainly carried out from Lebanon and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

Some property damage was also reported due to the missile attacks on that day.

The UK-based nonprofit organization Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated that Israel's airstrike targeted military facilities located near Damascus.

Since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war in 2011, Israel has regularly attacked military facilities related to Iran and the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah within Syria. However, Israel has mostly denied such military operations.
