From Smart Office to Product Platform
Enhancing Expertise through Digital Training for Employees
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Prudential Life Insurance is accelerating its digital transformation. It has introduced a digital platform where customers can view all products at a glance and is strengthening digital capabilities by providing specialized training to its employees.
Prudential Life Insurance's digital product platform "One Library," launched this month, contains various product information such as brochures, reference materials, terms and conditions, and videos for over 60 products currently on sale.
Life Planners (LPs) can conveniently deliver product materials to customers, and customers can check product information anytime.
Additionally, Prudential Life Insurance plans to conduct digital training for employees following the introduction of a smart office to improve work efficiency.
It supports mobile knowledge content services such as KB Financial's mobile learning platform "With," premium knowledge service "SERI CEO," and reading platform "Millie's Library." To lead digital transformation, it provides digital and job-related training expenses to all employees and offers digital education programs to help them quickly respond to market changes.
Outstanding employees are also given opportunities to participate in the financial expert development program "KB Financial Academy" and are actively supported in obtaining MBAs from overseas universities such as the University of Illinois.
In January, the company transformed all workspaces into smart offices and fully adopted a flexible seating system, turning the office into a future-oriented workspace. Employees can work at their preferred seats considering their work schedules, enhancing work efficiency.
A Prudential Life Insurance official stated, "Through the smart office, we plan to lead ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management by establishing a paperless work environment, reducing office costs, and lowering electricity usage. We have also set up a nursing room in the smart office and provide welfare benefits such as parental leave systems and support for employees' childcare burdens, including kindergarten tuition and school fees for their children."
