Working Together, Caring Together, Protecting Together, and Happy Together in the Republic of Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Lee Jeong-hoon, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, participated in the "Overcome Low Birthrate Together! National Four (4) Inclusion Relay Challenge" on the 7th.
This challenge is a national four (4) inclusion relay, meaning the term "together" is repeated four times. It is a citizen participation campaign that started in February in Chungcheongnam-do and is actively spreading nationwide through SNS, aiming to overcome the national crisis caused by low birthrate by actively participating in creating a "Korea that works together, cares together, protects together, and is happy together."
Lee Jeong-hoon, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, joined the relay challenge upon the nomination of Jo Byeong-ok, Mayor of Eumseong-gun, and nominated Kim Jin-ha, Mayor of Yangyang-gun, as the next participant in the relay.
Gangdong-gu is making efforts to overcome the low birthrate crisis by implementing the first special childbirth incentive program among Seoul's autonomous districts, offering various policies such as childbirth congratulatory money and school entrance congratulatory money to create a childbirth-friendly city.
Lee Jeong-hoon, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, stated, "The district is making various efforts to overcome the low birthrate," and added, "We will continue to do our best to create an environment that is good for having and raising children."
