[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) announced on the 8th that its online public asset disposal system, Onbid, has obtained the 'Information Security and Personal Information Protection Management System (ISMS-P) Integrated Certification.'
The ISMS-P integrated certification is the highest information security certification system in Korea, jointly operated by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Korea Communications Commission, with the Financial Security Institute conducting the review and certification. Onbid is the first public asset trading platform to acquire this certification.
KAMCO obtained the integrated certification by passing the review of a total of 102 certification criteria and 325 detailed control items related to Onbid service operations, including ▲ Information Security Management System (16 items) ▲ Protection Measures Requirements (64 items) ▲ Personal Information Processing Stage Requirements (22 items).
Shin Heung-sik, Head of KAMCO's Management Headquarters, emphasized, “KAMCO is striving to respond quickly and effectively to the rapidly changing security environment,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to provide public services that citizens can use with confidence through a strengthened security system.”
