Donghwa Enterprise Launches New Semi-Noncombustible Wall Material 'SafeWall'

Excellent in Preventing Fire Spread and Releasing Very Low Amounts of Harmful Substances During Fire

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Dongwha Enterprise announced on the 8th that it has launched a new wall panel product called 'SafeWall.'

SafeWall is a semi-noncombustible wall panel with excellent fire safety, which does not easily catch fire, preventing the spread of fire, and emits very low amounts of harmful substances during a fire. It is suitable for various commercial spaces such as restaurants, entertainment bars, and postpartum care centers, where the use of semi-noncombustible or higher materials is mandatory under the Multi-use Facilities Act.

SafeWall is produced using core materials certified as semi-noncombustible by the Korea Conformity Laboratories. The core materials not only have semi-noncombustible performance but also feature eco-friendliness, excellent durability, and water resistance.

As a 'Super E0 grade' eco-friendly material, it emits almost no harmful substances such as formaldehyde, toluene, and total volatile organic compounds (TVOC). Its high density makes it resistant to dents and scratches, and it undergoes minimal deformation due to moisture, making maintenance easy. It also has anti-mold properties that suppress indoor mold growth during humid rainy seasons and winters with severe temperature differences.

SafeWall consists of the 'SafeWall Basic' model, the high-gloss surface 'SafeWall High Gloss,' and the sound-absorbing 'SafeWall Hive.' The perforated SafeWall Hive absorbs more than 50% of indoor noise, making it effective in reducing sound.

SafeWall is available in two sizes: 590mm (width) x 1200mm (height) x 7mm (thickness) and 380mm x 790mm x 7.5mm. It comes in a total of 10 diverse patterns, including luxurious stone patterns, stable wood patterns, and clean solid patterns, allowing easy creation of an atmosphere that suits the characteristics of the space.

Lee Gil-yong, Executive Director of the Building Materials Division at Dongwha Enterprise, said, "SafeWall is a wall panel developed considering fire spread prevention, durability, and design in line with strengthened fire safety regulations for indoor buildings. We will expand the market mainly in commercial spaces such as multi-use facilities where the use of semi-noncombustible materials is mandatory, actively contributing to enhancing fire safety in buildings."
