[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the 8th that it has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Korea Baduk Association for the '2021 Korean Women's Baduk League.'


The agreement ceremony was held on the 7th at the Korea Baduk Association located in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, attended by Jang Seung-hyun, Senior Vice President of Nonghyup Bank, Yang Jae-ho, Secretary General of the Korea Baduk Association, and Choi Jeong, the world's No. 1 ranked player in the Women's Baduk League.


The 'Korean Women's Baduk League' is the first and largest domestic team competition launched in 2015, advocating a regional affiliation system, and is a professional competition representing the Korean women's Baduk scene.


This league will open with a ceremony on the 17th of next month, featuring 8 regional teams participating in the regular season and postseason running through October, with all matches broadcast live on Baduk TV every Thursday through Sunday.


Senior Vice President Jang Seung-hyun stated, “We are pleased to sponsor the Korean Women's Baduk League, which has nurtured Choi Jeong, who is dominating the world women's Baduk scene, and we hope that Baduk will become a healthy sport loved even more by the public.”
