Seoul 50 Plus Foundation Announces Contest to Discover Educational Content for 50+ Generation

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul 50 Plus Foundation announced that starting from the 7th, it will open a regular channel on the 50+ portal and call for proposals for educational content. Professional instructors, institutions, companies, associations, and organizations with content suitable for the 50+ generation are all welcome to participate.

The content submission themes are divided into four areas, which are the main educational courses of the 50 Plus Campus: self-understanding, new career exploration, competency development, and social participation. Detailed topics include self-reflection, relationships and psychology, social services, welfare and care, media, entrepreneurship and job creation, creative IT new technologies, green jobs and environment, social economy, tourism and travel, housing, community and agriculture, communication, publicity, and marketing.

In particular, under the theme of content suitable for the 50+ generation, the foundation plans to prioritize projects with high potential for linking to social participation activities and select content that can be connected to various activities.

Educational content can be submitted anytime through the ongoing channel. Twice a year (May and October), expert reviews will be conducted to select about 15 pieces of content each time. The selected content may later be offered as regular courses at the 50 Plus Campus. The May review will announce the selection results on Monday, May 24, after written and face-to-face evaluations based on proposals received by the 7th.

The number of educational content pieces selected each time will be up to 15, and the scale of selection will gradually expand depending on the excellence of the content. The selected content will be allocated and operated considering the characteristics of the four 50 Plus Campuses: West, Central, South, and North.

Kim Young-dae, CEO of the Seoul 50 Plus Foundation, said, “This project was promoted to effectively discover educational content that is more necessary and useful for the 50+ generation. In particular, we will discover a variety of content that can lead not only to education but also to various follow-up activities, thereby further expanding social participation opportunities for the 50+ generation.”
