Applications Accepted from 7th to 16th, Selection in May
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City is recruiting companies to participate in the 'Preliminary Social Enterprise Incubating Support Project' from the 7th to the 16th to foster social entrepreneurs and create jobs.
The 'Preliminary Social Enterprise Incubating Support Project' is a program designed to nurture exemplary social enterprises that encourage a step-by-step transition from incubating to preliminary social enterprises and then to social enterprises.
Companies selected to participate in the Preliminary Social Enterprise Incubating Support Project will receive support for labor costs at the minimum wage level for newly employed workers for four months, as well as partial coverage (about 70%) of social insurance premiums borne by the employer.
Companies wishing to participate can apply to the social enterprise department of the autonomous district office that has jurisdiction over the location of their business. After on-site inspections and face-to-face evaluations by the screening committee, the final selection will be announced on the city’s website in May.
For the project announcement, please refer to the notices and announcements on the city’s website. Applications and consultations for preliminary social enterprise incubating can be received free of charge at the Social Cooperative Sallim, a regional support organization for social enterprises.
Song Gwon-chun, the city’s Job Policy Officer, said, “We hope that many companies that have social value realization as their main purpose but have found it difficult to enter as preliminary social enterprises due to unmet requirements such as profit structure will actively participate in the incubating support project.”
