Checking Preparation Status for Hamyang Sansam Expo, "Please Strive for a Successful Expo"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun held its April regular assembly at 10 a.m. on the 5th in the large conference room of the county office, attended by the county governor, deputy governor, senior officials, and employees from both the main and external offices.
This regular assembly was conducted with only half the usual number of attendees during peacetime, adhering to quarantine rules such as temperature checks, hand sanitization, and maintaining personal distance. The program included watching a video summarizing county government activities from January to March, awarding commendations, delivering an address, and singing the county anthem.
Commendations were awarded to both civilians and institutions. Bae Yong-deok, Vice Chairman of the Korea Freedom Federation Hamyang-gun Branch in Gyeongnam, received the Prime Minister’s Commendation. The Innovation Strategy Officer and the Safety City Division received Ministerial Commendations, while the Construction and Transportation Division and the Forest and Greenery Division each received Governor’s Commendations.
In his subsequent address, Hamyang County Governor Seo Chun-soo congratulated the awardees and expressed gratitude, saying, “I commend the staff who have achieved excellent results through courteous civil service and proactive work efforts despite the fatigue and difficulties caused by ongoing tasks.”
He continued, “Now is the time to accelerate the implementation of major projects that have been planned and prepared.” He urged, “Please actively promote various tasks such as securing national and provincial funding, rapid execution of finances, and wildfire prevention. Also, thoroughly review and finalize preparations for the upcoming Hamyang Sansam Expo to ensure its successful hosting.”
