Get All Eunpyeong Cultural Tourism Information in My Hand, Create Your Own Travel Course to Eunpyeong's Tourist Attractions, and Write Travel Reviews After Your Trip
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that it has expanded and revamped its existing cultural tourism website to create a new ‘Eunpyeong Cultural Tourism’ website, making it more convenient for tourists visiting Eunpyeong-gu to enjoy sightseeing.
This follows the recent rise of Eunpyeong Hanok Village, quietly nestled under Bukhansan Mountain, as one of the best places to visit in Seoul, attracting not only family outing groups but also young people.
Eunpyeong-gu plans to establish the Eunpyeong Cultural Tourism Belt connecting Bukhansan, Bulgwangcheon Stream, and Susaek Station by 2024, when the National Korean Literature Museum is completed, aiming to develop Eunpyeong as a cultural city.
Accordingly, the newly launched website provides tourists visiting Eunpyeong-gu with linked information on local tourist attractions, restaurants, and accommodations, revitalizing local tourism. It is built as an interactive platform where users can actively participate and communicate, moving beyond simply providing tourism information.
Additionally, by applying mobile responsive web technology, the mobile web service functions have been enhanced to allow anyone to use it easily.
The ‘Eunpyeong Cultural Tourism’ website is organized into menus such as ▲Exciting Eunpyeong ▲Eunpyeong Hanok Village ▲Themed Tourism ▲Culture & Arts ▲Tourism Information ▲Community, enabling users to view comprehensive tourism information throughout Eunpyeong-gu?from the Bukhansan Dulle-gil trail to village and street details at a glance. Users can also search detailed information on nearby restaurants and accommodations instantly through an electronic map.
Most importantly, the newly launched website was developed with a mobile-optimized design for the convenience of mobile users and is linked with the Seoul Metropolitan Comprehensive Traffic Control Center (TOPIS), allowing easy access to public transportation and parking information.
Moreover, a My Page menu was added so that users can propose and register their own travel courses and write travel reviews, enabling personalized travel planning.
Eunpyeong-gu plans to continuously manage and operate the website in the future, providing users with new and diverse cultural tourism information about Eunpyeong-gu, as well as encouraging users to enrich the website content themselves.
Accordingly, a photo contest will also be held through the website in the second half of this year.
An official from Eunpyeong-gu stated, “Although tourism has been difficult due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we will continue to expand and promote local cultural tourism resources, prepare for increased tourism demand after COVID-19, and consistently discover traditional markets and neighborhood restaurants to revitalize the local economy and make Eunpyeong a place everyone wants to visit.”
