'Hon' is a premium aged distilled spirit introduced by Golden Blue in collaboration with a local specialty liquor company. It differentiates its taste from other distilled spirits by using apples from Mungyeong, Gyeongbuk as raw materials, and applies the same distillation method as high-end whiskey along with a traditional jar aging process for 300 days.
As the domestic distilled spirits market continues to expand, Golden Blue is actively conducting sales activities to grow 'Hon' into a representative distilled spirit brand of Korea. With this strategy, Golden Blue is targeting both the home and entertainment liquor markets simultaneously by placing Hon in large retailers and franchise establishments.
Additionally, Golden Blue plans to introduce 'Hon' this month to well-known franchise establishments nationwide, such as 'Osaka Blues' and 'Dukkeobi Romance.'
Kim Dong-wook, CEO of Golden Blue, said, "With the increase in alcohol consumption at home due to the impact of COVID-19, self-consumption of distilled spirits is growing more than other types of alcohol," adding, "This year, we will establish a presence in the distilled spirits market through strategies that can expand 'Hon's brand awareness and preference nationwide, as well as diversification of distribution channels."
