[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Jeon Haecheol, the 2nd Deputy Head of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCHQ), stated in the opening remarks of the CDSCHQ meeting that "the number of new confirmed cases today is expected to be in the high 400s. It has been between 400 and 500 for seven consecutive days."
He continued, "Including seniors aged 75 and older, who began vaccination last week, the number of vaccinated people is expected to exceed 1 million today," adding, "At this point, we will focus administrative efforts more intensively to speed up the vaccination process, which is the most important priority."
