[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Hanjin announced on the 2nd that it will launch the industry's first mobile delivery game, "Delivery King Island."
As the importance of last-mile delivery grows in the untact era, the company expects to provide customers with a new form of indirect experience of intangible delivery and logistics services through a young and friendly mobile game, enhancing empathy and understanding of a fun and smart delivery and logistics culture.
"Delivery King Island" tells the story of a delivery system paralyzed by a villain's prank on an island inhabited by animals dreaming of becoming delivery kings, where 11 types of cute "Hanjin Delivery Heroes" with various abilities work to restore the system for customers waiting for their deliveries.
It is a 3D casual arcade game featuring three mini-games inspired by the representative delivery processes of sorting, loading, and delivery, allowing players to enjoy the last-mile experience with simple controls.
Currently, the game is being refined through internal testing, including operating a game support team for all employees within the company.
Additionally, the company plans to create social value by establishing a revenue model through in-game advertising and using the proceeds to improve the working conditions of delivery workers, fostering a win-win relationship between the company and delivery personnel.
