[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] CNBC reported that Apple is expected to unveil a new iPhone at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) held in June.
On the 30th (local time), Apple announced that the annual event WWDC will be held from June 7 to 11. This event will be held entirely online again this year due to COVID-19. Apple typically unveils new iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, Apple TV, and Mac software at WWDC.
WWDC is an event primarily for developers creating apps for Apple products, but it also provides consumers with an early look at new features offered on Apple devices. Generally, software announced at the June developer conference is released in beta form before the final release in the fall.
Susan Prescott, Apple’s Vice President of Marketing, said, “We are doing our best to make this year’s WWDC the best event ever,” adding, “We are excited to provide Apple developers with new tools to help them create apps that will transform our daily lives, work environments, and leisure.”
