Emart, Largest First Half Discount Event to Celebrate the Founding of 'SSG Landers' Baseball Team

[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Emart announced on the 31st that it will hold the largest discount event of the first half of this year for four days from the 1st to the 4th of next month to commemorate the founding of Shinsegae Group's professional baseball team, 'SSG Landers.'

Named 'Landers Day' around the opening game of the SSG Landers on April 3rd, this event will offer about 80 types of buy-one-get-one-free (1+1) products and discount more than 500 items in total.

First, from the 2nd to the 4th of next month, all items of 'Emart Selected Korean Beef' 1+ grade and 1st grade will be offered at a 40% discount when purchased with event cards. Emart explained that they prepared 100 tons of stock so that many consumers can enjoy the benefits.

On the 2nd and 3rd, Russian live snow crab will be offered in a limited quantity of 8 tons at a special 25% discounted price, and American LA-style frozen beef ribs and Chilean seedless mixed grapes will also be sold at special prices. A carton of 30 eggs, whose price has risen significantly, will be sold at about 30% off the original price for 4,886 won.

Buy-one-get-one-free (1+1) and 50% off on all items are abundant. All frozen hot dogs, all Peacock dumplings, all gochujang (red chili paste), doenjang (soybean paste), ssamjang (wrap sauce), and all cereals will be sold as 1+1. Also included are 25 daily necessities such as all Huggies diapers, all Tech, Riqu, and Downy laundry detergents, all Soonsem, Jayeonpong, Method, and Pril kitchen detergents, and all Garglin mouthwash products.

From the 2nd to the 4th, customers who purchase Samsung and LG Electronics large home appliances worth 3 million, 5 million, or 7 million won or more at Emart stores will receive Shinsegae gift certificates worth 100,000, 150,000, and 200,000 won respectively. When purchased with Samsung Card or Kookmin Card, gift certificates worth 100,000, 200,000, and 300,000 won will be additionally provided.

Also, during the four-day event period, customers who spend 100,000 won or more at Emart stores will receive a 5,000 won discount coupon, and those who spend 200,000 won or more will receive a 10,000 won discount coupon.

Online shopping mall SSG.com and convenience store Emart24 will also participate in the Landers Day event with exclusive promotions.

SSG.com will operate Emart flyer promotions during the event period, and customers using the dawn delivery service for the first time who purchase 20,000 won or more will be able to purchase one of four products?two meal kits, one bakery item, or eggs?for 100 won. There is also an event where 559 people will be selected by lottery to receive 10,000 won in SSG Money by leaving a cheering message wishing for the victory of the SSG Landers.

Emart24 will hold 1+1 or 2+1 events on 32 popular products such as beverages, ice cream, and snacks from the 1st to the 7th of next month, and offer an additional 30% discount when paying with event cards.
